Radish Curry made this way will be very tasty

Many people do not like to eat Radish because it has a bitter taste but when prepare a Radish Curry like this, they will love to eat it. It is just as tasty as a Potato or Dhal Curry. The type of Radish used for Rabu Curry in Sri Lanka is Daikon Radish.

Ingredients

For the Radish Curry

  • 2 Radishes
  • Some Jackfruit Seeds
  • 1 Green Chili
  • 1 Nais Miris
  • Some Curry Leaves
  • Half a sliced Onion
  • Some Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1 tsp Raw Curry Powder
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1.5 tsp Roasted Curry Powder
  • Some Turmeric Powder
  • Salt
  • Coconut Milk

For the Tempered Mixture

  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • Some thinly sliced Onion
  • 4 dried Chilies
  • Some Curry Leaves
  • Some Mustard Seeds

Instructions

For the Radish Curry

  1. Remove the outer layer of 2 Radishes.
  2. Wash the Radishes.
  3. Thinly slice the Radishes.
  4. Add the pieces to a pot.
  5. Remove the skin from some Jackfruit Seeds.
  6. Wash the Jackfruit Seeds and then add them to the pot.
  7. Add a thinly sliced Green Chili.
  8. Add a Nai Miris cut in half.
  9. Add some Curry Leaves.
  10. Add half a sliced Onion.
  11. Add some Fenugreek Seeds.
  12. 1 tsp Raw Curry Powder.
  13. Add 1 tsp Chili Powder.
  14. Add 1.5 tsp Roasted Curry Powder.
  15. Add some Turmeric Powder.
  16. Add Salt to taste.
  17. Add Coconut Milk until everything is covered.
  18. Mix everything together and then cook it.
  19. After the Radish Curry is cooked, add the Tempered mixture and then mix everything together thoroughly.

For the Tempered Mixture

  1. Heat some Oil in a saucepan.
  2. add 3 crushed Garlic Cloves.
  3. Add some thinly sliced Onion.
  4. Add 4 dried Chilies broken into smaller pieces by hand.
  5. Add some Curry Leaves.
  6. Add some Mustard Seeds.
  7. Lightly fry this mixture.
