Traditional Breadfruit Curry that has reduced body heatyness
Breadfruit Curry is a favorite of many people but it produces body heatyness. We prepare this traditional recipe in a special way that will reduce it. Prepared this way, you can serve it for multiple meals throughout the day and it doesn't require any additional curries.
Ingredients
- 1 Breadfruit

6 to 7 Nai Miris
- 9 Garlic Cloves
- Some Peppercorn
- Some Curry Leaves

Some Coconut pieces
- 3 Onions
- 3 Green Chilies
- Some Cumin Seeds
- Some Turmeric Powder
- Some Fenugreek Seeds
- 3 tsp Chili Powder
- Some Pandan Leaves (Rampe)

1 piece of Goraka
- 2 cups of Coconut Milk
- Salt
- 2 Chilies broken into smaller pieces by hand
- Some Mustard Seeds
- Some Roasted Curry Powder
Instructions
Preparing the Breadfruit
- Cut the Breadfruit into wedges.
- Remove the middle part.
- Remove the skin.

Slice the Breadfruit wedges into thick slices.
- Now add the pieces into a pot.
- Add Water until all of the pieces are covered.
- Boil the Breadfruit pieces in the pot.
- After boiling, drain all of the Water.
Preparing the Curry Mixture
- Now add 6 to 7 Nai Miris to a blender.
- Add 5 Garlic Cloves.
- Add some Peppercorn.
- Add some Curry Leaves.
- Add some Coconut pieces.
- Add an Onion sliced into 4 quarters.
- Add a Green Chili.
- Add some Cumin Seeds.
- Add a little bit of Water and blend it into a paste consistency.
Preparing the Tempered Mixture
- Heat some Oil in a saucepan.
- Add some sliced Onions.
- Add 4 Garlic Cloves.
- Add 2 Chilies broken into smaller pieces by hand.
- Add some Curry Leaves.
- Add some Mustard Seeds.
- Stir everything together and lightly fry it.
- Turn off the stove for this fried mixture.
- Add 1 tsp Chili Powder.
- Add some Roasted Curry Powder.
- Mix everything together thoroughly.
Final Steps
- Now add some Turmeric Powder to the Breadfruit in the pot.
- Add some Fenugreek Seeds.
- Add 2 tsp Chili Powder.
- Add some Curry Leaves.
- Add some Pandan Leaves (Rampe).
- Add a piece of Goraka.
- Add 2 sliced Green Chilies.
- Add half an Onion sliced.
- Add about 2 cups of Coconut Milk until everything is covered.
- Add some Salt to taste.
- Bring it to a boil.
- After about 7 to 8 minutes, it should be boiling so add Curry mixture we made earlier.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Now add the Tempered mixture into the Breadfruit Curry and mix thoroughly.
