How to make a tasty vegan Omelette with Chickpea Flour
This is a tasty alternative for people who don't like to eat eggs or dairy. This vegan Omelette is made using Chickpea Flour and has an assortment of toppings. It tastes like a real Omelette. Although we're adding several toppings, you can even make it plain.
This Omelette makes 2 servings. You can halve the ingredients if you are only making 1 serving.
Ingredients
- Half a cup of Chickpea Flour
- 2 tbsp of All Purpose Flour
- 1.5 tsp of Baking Powder
- 1.5 tsp of Chili Flakes
- Salt
- Half a tsp of Pepper
- 1 thinly sliced Onion
- Some Curry Leaves
- Some diced Bell Peppers (optional)
- 2 thinly sliced Green Chilies
Instructions
- Add half a cup of Chickpea Flour into a bowl.
- Add 2 tbsp of Flour.
- Add 1.5 tsp of Baking Powder.
- Add 1.5 tsp of Chili Flakes.
- Add Salt to taste.
- Add half a tsp of Pepper.
- Add a thinly sliced Onion.
- Add some Curry Leaves.
- Add some diced Bell Peppers (optional).
- Add 2 thinly sliced Green Chilies.
- Now mix everything together thoroughly.
- Add Water little by little and whisk to form a runny batter sort of like Pancake Batter consistency.
- Now cover with a lid and set it aside for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Heat some Oil in a saucepan.
- Pour the Omelette mixture into the saucepan and spread evenly.
- When one side is cooked, flip and cook the other side.
- Sprinkle some Pepper on top.
