Crispy Egg Chips Snack using only 1 Egg, a tasty Filipino Snack

Crispy Egg Chips are a popular finger food in the Philippines and this recipe requires only 1 egg and a few basic ingredients to make. This is a great alternative to Potato Chips and you can even eat this like Pappadum with Rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • Some Pepper
  • Some Salt
  • 5 tbsp of All Purpose Flour
  • 5 tbsp of Corn Flour
  • Sesame Seeds (optional)
  • Some Turmeric Powder
  • 3 Ice Cubes
  • Some Chili Powder

Instructions

  1. Add 1 Egg into a bowl.
  2. Add some Pepper.
  3. Add some Salt.
  4. Whisk everything together thoroughly.
  5. Add 5 tbsp of Flour through a sieve.
  6. Add 5 tbsp of Corn Flour through a sieve.
  7. Add 3 Ice Cubes.
  8. Add some Sesame Seeds (optional).
  9. Add some Turmeric Powder (optional).
  10. Add some Water.
  11. Whisk everything together. You should get a watery consistency.
  12. Set this mixture aside for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  13. Scoop some of the mixture using a spoon into Hot Oil and fry until it turns a golden color.
