Spicy and Crispy Murukku Recipe in 5 Minutes
Murukku is a simple fried crispy snack in Sri Lanka that many people enjoy. It is great for teatime or for when you just want something to munch. This recipe can be made in only 5 minutes so if you're looking for a snack recipe, this is a good one.
Ingredients
- 250g of All Purpose Flour.
- 250g of Chickpea Flour.
- 250g of Rice Flour.
- Some Sesame Seeds
- Some Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp of Chili Powder
- Salt
Instructions

Toast 250g of All Purpose Flour and 250g of Chickpea Flour.
- Toast 250g of Rice Flour and then add it into a bowl.
- Add the All Purpose and Chickpea Flour into the Rice Flour.
- Add some Sesame Seeds.
- Add some Cumin Seeds.
- Add 1 tbsp of Chili Powder.
- Add Salt to taste.

While mixing, add warm Water slowly and form the dough.

Add a star shaped cutout attachment to your String Hopper device.
- Add the mixture to the String Hopper device.
- Squeeze the String Hopper device over hot oil into the shape of Murukku and fry it.
- After frying, you can sprinkle some Chili Powder and Salt on the Murukku.
