Crispy Potato Samosa Rolls that make a splendid Teatime snack
We brought you a new way of making Samosas. We are making Crispy Potato Samosa Rolls. These Samosa Rolls have a delicious potato filling so it is vegetarian.
This Samosa recipe is great for teatime or as a snack. If you like samosa recipes, you will like these crispy rolls. These are great for your kids to take to school for lunch.
Ingredients
For the Filling
- 2 crushed Garlic Cloves
- 1 sliced Green Chili
- 1 chopped Onion
- Some Curry Leaves
- Some crushed Cardamon and Cloves
- Some crushed Cinnamon
- 1 tsp of Pepper
- Salt
- A boiled Potato that is then mashed
- Some Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp of Corn Flour
For the Dough
- 250g of All Purpose Flour
- Some Sesame Seeds
- Salt
- 1 tbsp of Coconut Oil
Instructions
For the Filling
- Heat some Oil in a saucepan.
- Add 2 crushed Garlic Cloves.
- Add a sliced Green Chili.
- Add a chopped Onion.
- Add some Curry Leaves.
- Stir everything together over medium heat.
- Add some crushed Cardamon and Cloves.
- Add some crushed Cinnamon.
- Add 1 tsp of Pepper.
- Add Salt to taste.
- While stirring, add a boiled Potato which is then mashed.
- Add some Turmeric Powder.
- Add 1 tbsp of Corn Flour to thicken this mixture and then stir it.
- Scoop some of the mixture and a foam a long cylinder shape place it on a plate and repeat for all of the mixture.
For the Dough
- Add 250g of Flour to a bowl.
- Add some Sesame Seeds.
- Add some Salt.
- Add 1 tbsp of Coconut Oil.
- Mix everything together.

Add Water slowly while mixing to form a dough.
Final Steps
- Add 1 tbsp of Flour to a separate bowl.
- Add some Water.
- Mix and make a runny paste that we will use to seal the edges when we wrap the dough around the filling.
- Rub some Oil on the preparation board.
- Break the dough into 2 pieces.

Now use a rolling pin and flatten it into a rectangular shape.
- Now remove the edges so that it is a rectangular shape.

Place each of the filling pieces on one side of the flattened dough.
- Cut each of the dough long side into strips that will cover the filling pieces.

Now roll the dough.
- Once you roll it to the length you want, you can cut off any excess.

Rub some of the runny paste to the edges and seal it.
- Optional: Now dip the top and bottom sides of the roll in some Sesame Seeds.
- Deep fry each of the Samosa Rolls until it turns a golden color.
