Using Guava to make a simple and tasty Curry

Many fruits can be used in a curry and Guava is no exception. The taste of this Guava Curry is similar to that of Winter Melon. If you live in a tropical climate where there is plenty of Guava, you will want to try this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Kilo Guava
  • A piece of Goroka
  • 2 crushed Garlic Cloves
  • A thinly sliced Ginger piece
  • 2 sliced Green Chilies
  • Half a chopped Onion
  • Some Curry Leaves
  • Some Pandan Leaves
  • Some toasted Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1 tsp of Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp of Roasted Curry Powder
  • Some Turmeric Powder
  • Salt
  • Coconut Milk
  • Some crushed Cardamom and Cloves
  • Some crushed Cinnamon
  • Some Coconut pieces

Instructions

  1. Use a spoon and remove the stem from the 2 Kilo Guavas and then the inside part to remove any seeds.
  2. Cut it into square pieces.
  3. Add 2 crushed Garlic Cloves.
  4. Add a thinly sliced Ginger piece.
  5. Add 2 sliced Green Chilies.
  6. Add half a chopped Onion.
  7. Add some Curry Leaves.
  8. Add some Pandan Leaves.
  9. Add some toasted Fenugreek Seeds.
  10. Add 1 tsp of Chili Powder.
  11. Add 1 tsp of Roasted Curry Powder.
  12. Add some Turmeric Powder.
  13. Add Salt to taste.
  14. Add Coconut Milk until everything is covered.
  15. Mix everything together.
  16. Cook under medium heat.
  17. While cooking, add some crushed Cardamom and Cloves and some crushed Cinnamon.
  18. To make it tastier, add some Coconut pieces when the curry is boiling.
  19. Now cook until most of the Water has evaporated.
