Soft Peanut Dodol using only 4 main ingredients

Peanut Dodol is a super soft and tasty sweet that is very simple to prepare. This recipe uses only 4 ingredients and takes only 10 minutes to prepare.

If you like to eat a piece of jaggery with a strong plain tea, you will really enjoy these Peanut Dodol.

Ingredients

  • 250g of Peanuts
  • 2 and a half cups of Milk
  • 2 cups of Sugar
  • Some crushed Cardamom and Cloves
  • Some crushed Cinnamon
  • A handful of All Purpose Flour
  • A handful of Semolina Flour

Instructions

  1. Roast 250g of Peanuts.
  2. Remove the peels from the Peanuts.
  3. Add the Peanuts to a blender and blend it.
  4. Now add the blended Peanut mixture into a bowl and mix in half a cup of Milk.
  5. Add 2 cups of Milk to a saucepan.
  6. Add 2 cups of Sugar.
  7. Under medium heat, stir frequently until all the Sugar has melted.
  8. Add some crushed Cardamon and Cloves.
  9. Add some crushed Cinnamon.
  10. Mix everything together thoroughly.
  11. Turn the stove down to the lowest heat setting.
  12. Now add the Peanut mixture.
  13. Stir frequently until all of the Peanut mixture has melted.
  14. In the meantime, add a parchment paper to baking dish.
  15. Rub some Cooking Oil on the parchment paper.
  16. When the Peanut mixture has melted and thickened, add a handful of All Purpose Flour.
  17. Mix thoroughly.
  18. When the oil from the Peanut mixture starts to come out, add a handful of Semolina Flour.
  19. Now add the Peanut mixture to the baking dish.
  20. Use a spoon to spread the Peanut mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  21. Add some chopped Peanuts or Cashews on top.
  22. Now let it cool down for about half an hour.
  23. Put it in the refrigerator and let it cool down for about an hour.
